The Alpha-1 Project seeks partnerships with individual donors, patients, academia, pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies to eliminate the effects of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and liver disease caused by Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency (Alpha-1). We believe that by building upon our significant internal scientific resources, leveraging our partnerships and utilizing our unique, venture capital-like approach to evaluating and making targeted investments we will speed the development of new drug therapies and devices to combat this condition.
